In the first episode, we get to know everyone.

Serena comes back from boarding school in Connecticut. Of course, her arrival is well documented by photos from the train station (Melanie91) and transmitted to all via text messaging.

Also at the train station are Jenny and Dan, who are being picked up by their father.

Blair is surprised (and none too happy) to hear that Serena is back in town. She is even less happy when Serena arrives and then leaves her party in record time - all while Blair is trying to seduce Nate. They are interrupted - and make an appearance back downstairs at the party.

Meanwhile, Blair makes plans for her “Kiss on the Lips” party - and Serena isn’t invited.

Serena and Blair later make up… But then Blair finds out Serena’s little secret: Serena slept with Nate, which is the resaon that she left town. Bad boy Chuck tells Serena that he knows her secret and then makes a play for her - she knees him and runs out in a hurry, nearly knocking Dan over in the process.

Serena’s mom buys her a dress for the “Kiss on the Lips” party - and Serena begs off, claiming that she has other plans - with Dan.

Blair and Nate have a heart to heart where Blair forgives Nate.

At the Kiss on the Lips party, Jenny shows up in a dress that she made herself - and catches Chuck’s eye. Chuck takes Jenny up to the roof. When Dan realizes that Jenny is missing, he and Serena go in search of her. Chuck is attempting to rape Jenny - and Dan punches Chuck out. They go home together - with Serena accompanying them.
